Another popular type of poker is draw poker. Draw poker is a variation of the traditional game where players receive a number of draws before a final drawing occurs. Each player is given a draw and can swap up to three of the cards.

Seven-card stud is the most common variation of the poker game, and players can bet according to their hand rank. Players who have the best five-card hand will win the pot. Unlike in other poker games, some stud variants do not allow flushes. Similarly, in other versions of the game, straights are not considered.

Another poker variant is razz poker. Razz is similar to the stud format, but it does not allow for any redrawing of the deck. Instead, a player is given four cards at a time. It is designed to focus on a low hand, and the goal of the player is to make it as low as possible.
